I've had a bx2200 for a little over 3 years, about 400 hours on it. Lately, when I first start it I get billowing white smoke from the exhaust. It clears after about 30-45 seconds. Performance does not seem to be any differnt. I just don't remember this happening before. Is something wrong? Could it be fuel related? I started buying my fuel at a different station roughly about the same time this started.

Thanks for any advice.

A clue!

Do you use a diesel additive? If not one might help. ....

What type of fuel additive should I get? I assume this is something that would be carried at local auto parts store?

I'll try the old station next purchase. I usually get 10 gallons at a time which lasts about 2-3 weeks, depending on level of activity.

Thanks for your advice ....

Many folks on the board (including yours truly) use Power Service. It is available almost everywhere and probably cheapest at Walmart.

There are two variations in different colored bottles.... you should probably get the one that cleans the injectors and boosts the Cetane.

Don't be afraid to use the maximum dose or even a bit more. ....
